James Ranft - Managing Director James Ranft, 40 is an experienced publisher with a successful record across a variety of market sectors. Over the last sixteen years James has worked for a number of publishers including Reed Business Information, Haymarket Publishing and Autotrader. He has more recently been the Group Publisher at HS Financial, a specialist investment publishers and was responsible for a variety of titles including Company REFS and European Lawyer.
Garry Burns
Garry Burns - 38 has over 16 years publishing and business management experience ranging from directories, b2b, consumer and specialist titles along with senior management experience with SME's and multinational companies. The bulk of Garry's publishing experience comes from his time with Trader Media where he held the position of GM of their National Sales Division, which incorporated 13 regional titles, 11 free titles and 4 national products. Prior to his publishing career Garry served with the Coldstream Guards for 4 years.
Fiona Fennell
Fiona Fennell - has over 18 years experience in event management having managed the event teams for a wide range of organisations including Lloyd's of London, Denplan, and The Chartered Institute for Personnel & Development. She also managed events for a number of leading industry publications including, amongst others, Management Today, Campaign and Marketing magazines. The work has included managing events UK wide as well as in Europe, Asia and the USA. She has worked both independently, running an event management agency, and in-house. This broad experience has given her an invaluable insight into the successful planning and management of events from conferences, to roadshows, major exhibitions, awards dinners and international summits.
Graham Thompson - Operations Director
Graham Thompson, 37 has been working in sales and product management in the publishing industry over the last 8 years. Most recently he worked with James Ranft at HS Financial for two years where he was responsible for managing a number of publications on a day-to-day basis and overseeing a 4-man telemarketing team.
Sam Allery - Production Director
Sam Allery, 39 worked for Haymarket Publishing for over 11 years and was Group Production Controller for their medical division.
Her responsibilities included print buying, copy control and issue management for 5 publications.
Matthew Mumby - Associate New Media Director
Matt Mumby, 32 has over ten years experience in new media and graphic design.
He has been involved in many successful website launches such as Volkswagen, Hewlett Packard, Discovery channel and Exxon Mobil.
Peter Marshall - Associate Subscriptions & Fulfilment Director
Peter Marshall, 45 has over 25 years experience in DM data planning, fulfilment and logistics. He has managed his own data management business for the last 5 years, working primarily with the publishing and charity sectors. Prior to that he ran data orientated projects, including continuity and subscriptions, covering 20 titles for a major financial publisher. From 1993 Peter was responsible for operations for IRS, a financial education Direct Marketer. Previously he was in High St retail management.
Jonathan Davis
55 the founder and editor of Intelligent Investor newsletter, spent 10 years as a financial journalist on national newspapers (Sunday Telegraph, the Times, The Economist) before setting up his own successful business as an author, columnist and management consultant and latterly Investor Publishing, where he is the chairman. He writes a popular regular weekly column on investment in The Independent and another in Business Voice, the CBI in-house magazine.
Peter Ranft
66 is an independent management consultant specialising in sales, marketing and key client relationships. Following a successful career in line management with a number of international companies, he joined PA Consultants in 1986 as a Senior Consultant based in London. Subsequently he set up his own business working with a range of clients including Rank Corporation, IBM, LucasVarity, Unilever, Allied Domecq, International Hotels and Heidrick & Struggles. He has an MA degree from Oxford University.
